In third world countries people are starving and have nowhere to live, yet in places like New Zealand and America we have houses, clothing and plenty of food. Much of which we have could be given away yet because we are naturally selfish and don't think about others enough we don't help those in need.
There are many simple ways we can fix this problem:
- Grabbing old clothes or clothes too small or we don't wear and sending them overseas to the people who need then.
- Operation Christmas child is another great way we help the children by sending over clothing, toothbrushes and other things like toys which brings great delight to the children who will probably never get Christmas presents. (I think we can improve this is by doing boxes all year round instead of just at Christmas, like a delivery service, and also making an adult version which could help out the older generation).
- Encouraging more people to sponsor a child, by just giving a little bit of money each week children who normally miss out on things will get an education, doctors and decent food and clothing
- Help third world countries by setting up farms or educating the people with skills to support themselves.
- Encourage large businesses who make a lot of money to give some of it to well known organisations that help third world countries.
