I think the most annoying sound in the world is when Mr Wynne says "Spelling Test!" or anyone at all says spelling test, this frustrates me a lost because I hate, hate, hate spelling tests. It's annoying because I have dyslexia which makes me not as good at spelling as I should be. I also hate spelling tests because I am lazy, I am very lazy and would much rather be doing other work than spelling tests, because it makes me think hard. So when Mr Wynne says "Spelling Test!" it means I have to do another hard test and lots of thinking!
How would I fix it?..........Well Mr Wynne is not really one to reason with when it comes to things like that, because you normally end up losing lamda (Our class currency) or just a very long conversation going back and forth and back and forth. Mr Wynne is very stubborn and will NOT give up! I could fix this though if I knew there was going to be a spelling test before hand, I could pull a sickie, although Mr Wynne would probably realise that pretty soon.... Another way I could fix this would be to practice - a lot! Although that would be taking up my time so I would have to think twice about that!
So that's what I think is the most annoying sound in the world and some ways I might be able to fix it.
I think it’s a good story, as other people wrote their blog about noises like, fingernails on a chalkboard, or forks on a plate. I agree spelling test are hard. I think adding the fact you hate spelling test, gave it a personal touch, you could say. It must be hard for you doing test, but what I know of you it won't stop you. Your punctuation is almost perfect and it makes a lot of sense to me. Like I said it's a good story a it makes sense. Personally there is nothing I would change. I think you did a great job!

ReplyDeleteI'd have to agree with Dara. A good personal account of why you hate Spelling Tests. Unfortunately they are here to stay and you will have to do one per term, however you will never know when they are going to be done as I won't warn you, it will be a surprise!
ReplyDeleteA great piece of writing Logan - keep it up.
Yes there is a piece of software to help you with that but it still doesn't necessarily pick the correct word for you, and you still have to recognise the correct word!
